Spiritual and Cultural Services :
The Ashrama, as a part of its regular religious and spiritual activities, conducts formal worship and daily prayers in the sanctified atmosphere of the Shrine in which monks, brahmacharis and the devotees participate. The Ashrama also arranges diksha for the benefit of the local spiritual aspirants as and when such opportunity comes. The major festivals performed are:
Educational Services :
Swami Vivekananda during his lifetime had resolutely preached in his thunderous voice and unobstructed vision that education alone could reserve the multifaceted evils of the society. In keeping with his exhortation, the Ramakrishna Mission TB Sanatoruim, in addition to its primary task, had started the Vivekananda Madhya Vidyalaya in the Centenary Year of Swamiji. The school has at present about 460 students who are mostly local residents amongst whom more than 90% are tribals.
The project "Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa" under which 100 children below 12 years of age are given non-formal education serving the poor and needy children from in and around the Sanatoruim is continuing its services satisfactorily.
The Sanatoruim has been conducting Library Service from three sub-locations : one for the residents and devotees at the Ashrama, and one for the Medical Personnel and In-door Patients and the other at the Computer Centre. The Library has at present 4740 books and receive 21 periodicals, it has also 10 newspapers and 382 CDs. The Computer Centre has recently added to its collection some technical books and a number of valuable CDs.

Welfare Services :
The Sanatoruim activities are not confined to medical and associated services only. It also conducts on a regular basis a number of welfare services for the local people. Such activities are:
For the speedy recovery of TB patients, a regular dairy was built in the campus of the Sanatoruim called "Golshala" in 1959. Slowly, the milk production went up and it has enabled us to meet the needs of staff members and their families including children and also more than 500 poor school children everyday.
The Sanatoruim has a separate grazing fields where the cows are let off twice in a day. The health of the cows is regularly monitored by a visiting veterinary surgeon. The dairy produce about 200 litres of milk per day on average.
